Lanlas Farm is a 20 acre smallholding in the Upper Teifi Valley, two miles from the University town of Lampeter in West Wales. We moved here from Kent in 2001 to realise our dream of breeding free-range rare breed pigs. Unfortunately the country was struck down by Foot and Mouth Disease shortly after we arrived, so the Pig Dream was put on temporary hold.

So in the meantime we acquired planning permission to convert a disused Victorian Coach House (last used as a cow shed!) into two self-catering holiday cottages and in 2002 we completed the conversion and achieved a 5 star grading from the Wales Tourist Board.

The picture on the left is the coach house before work started and below is a watercolour of what it looks like now!

The cottages are now complete and we are taking bookings. Please click here for detailed information on the accommodation, more pictures and letting prices.

In June 2002 we got our first 3 piglets – to view some pictures and read more about the livestock on the farm please click here or on the livestock link at the top of the page.
