Gardens in West Wales
For the avid gardener there are several local gardens well worth visiting. A few miles outside Lampeter, at Cribyn, is Cae Hir, a garden full of surprises which has been featured on several TV and radio programmes.
The National Botanic Garden of Wales on the Middleton Estate near Carmarthen is a short drive to the south of Lanlas Holiday Cottages. It is well worth a visit and will have something for all ages. Close to the National Botanic Garden is the garden of Aberglasney, in the Towy Valley. This beautiful garden has undergone considerable development during the past few years.
Closer to home, at Llanllwni, are Norwood Gardens. The gardens were started in 2002 and consist of 7 small gardens set in 3 acres of land. The work on designing and planting the garden is ongoing, and will interest anyone keen on garden design.
