Where we are

Although Lanlas Holiday Cottages are in a very rural community, we are only 2 miles from the University town of Lampeter, itself a small market town. It is a University town and is well served with two supermarkets and lots of small local shops and several cafes and restaurants.

The Lampeter Town Website has plenty of information on the town itself and is a good resource for visitors new to the area.

The village of Llanddewi Brefi , made famous as the home of "The Only Gay in the Village", Dafydd Thomas and Trethowan's Gorwydd Caerphilly Award-winning Cheese, is a short drive to the north, en route to the market town of Tregaron and its famous Talbot Hotel and Welsh Gold Centre.

To the West is the beautiful Georgian town of Aberaeron. Many of its houses are listed and there are several excellent restaurants in and around the town.

To the south are the pretty market towns of Llandeilo and Llandovery, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
